Taj Welfare Foundation is a non-profitable organization, committed to assisting the people of Pakistan in education, health, and environment protection irrespective of sex, caste, creed, race and religion. Taj Welfare Foundation works alongside other dedicated organizations with the simple of goal of helping those in need.
In 1993, a food processing company, Taj Food (Pvt.) Ltd, began with the idea to bring healthy food grains and fruits into the homes of those in need in Pakistan. For a time, filling stomachs was enough to give back. Since, the goal has exponentially expanded to not just food, but to health, environment, and education. As goals increased, Taj Welfare Foundation was created in order to bring awareness around the globe with the intent of getting ideas and support to create a stronger, healthier, & motivated environment in Pakistan.
So where do the people of Pakistan need help? While there is prosperity in Pakistan, many people still live well below the line of poverty. According to the Economic Survey 2018, nearly 25 percent of the population in Pakistan live below the poverty line. On the positive side, according to the same survey took in 2005-06, 50 percent of the population was living below the poverty line. With all the great charitable work, Pakistan has decreased its poverty level; nevertheless, there is still much more work to do.
